What is Retrofit?

What is meant by Retrofit?

Retrofit refers to any improvement work on an existing building to improve its energy efficiency, making them easier to heat, the ability to retain heat for longer and replacing fossil fuels with renewable energy.

Why Retrofit? 

There are many benefits to upgrading a property to improve its energy efficiency, they include but not limited to: –

  • Saving money on energy bills
  • Improved indoor air quality
  • Better comfort and control of heating
  • Future proofing and increased potential for renting
  • Meet government requirement (minimum energy efficiency standards)
  • Potential to lower properties environmental impact
